I just bought two Seagate SATA 2 HD's and wanted to use one for the operating system and use the second for storage. I had no problems using 2 regular IDE drives like this (the second drive would just show up as "E:" or whatever) but it doesn't seem to want to work with these new drives. I noticed there is no jumpers on the drive to change it to slave either. So, I'm wondering how to make this 2nd drive show up for me to use? I get the whole "found new hardware" message and all that but I can't phsically see the drive in "My Computer". Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks in advance.

Well you have to format the drive so it can be seen by the system.

That'll be in "Disk Management", which is under "Computer Management" in Administrative tools. Alternatively, type "Disk Management" into Help and follow the links.
