Hello,

Just a thing to keep in mind. The "synchronization" between Outlook and SharePoint is a one way "sync". If you import for example contacts from your addresssbook to sharepoint it will not keep that list in sharepoint updated since it just reads information from your addressbook/contact list in Outlook and places those records into a sharepoint contact list.

If you are running SharePoint Portal Server, you can import information from your Active Directory and that you can keep updated by doing regular imports from Active Directory. That is done with the profile database, however you have some issues there as well. If you do an import from A.D change some attributes in sharepoint profiledatabase and then you do another import from A.D it will overwrite the records in SharePoints profile database (..if I am not totally misstaken ).

The only sync i have seen between outlook and SharePoint is the meeting workspace... somehow when users accept the meeting the status gets updated so thats one case when its not a 100% 1 time..
