How to upgrade KDE from 2.1.1 to 2.2.1

I'm running RH 7.1, and the installation installed KE 2.1.1. I understand that KDE 2.2.1 is available, and I've downloaded a bunch of RPMs for it. However, when I try to install any RPM, I get a dependency error failure. I can't figure out the right order to do things.

I've been all over kde.org, and cannot find the information I need. They seem to cover new installations, but don't mention anything about upgrading existing KDE systems.
