How to upgrade CICS from 2.1 to 5 ?

There is no CICS 5 software. (the compatable release to the MICS 5 software was CICS 4.2).
to upgrade if you have Norstar Remote Utilities I would suggest backing up the programming using NRU. then power down CICS. Pull old software flash card. put in new software flash card. power up equipment. programming should stay with equipment the backup is only a precaution.
When you get the new software you should also get the Instalation guide so read the section on upgrade. there is not much there but some of the trunks may be re-numbered on you.
If Like Bags asked you want to initialize the programming then after power up do a feature **startup.
If voting could really change things, it would be illegal.
