Add the source number below in the nouser.

UNLOCK_BOOT_ROM

Then reboot the SOE and add the source number below the in the nouser.

ALLOW_SOE_R6_UPGRADE

And now you can upgrade to Release 6, no license needed.

Good luck.

Is this suppose to be done through the DTE port and where to you add the date.

You add it through the F.0.0.L interface session :)

Also I have just discovered, if on the 500v2 you add the No User source number entry "UNLOCK_R7_FEATURE_SET" you get some very usefull new features such as "Emulate Current System" search feature that sniffs the network for other systems and gives you all those features plus the IP Office ones, and my particular favourite the "RTFM" function which flashes up a box upon opening Manager that asks if you have RTFM YES/NO if you click the YES button you are allowed in, if you click the NO button a page goes over all handsets and Overhead devices saying "Warning, Idiot is programming the system, please punch them in the face" :)
