I have SQL sever 2005. I just want to update BIDS (SSRS,SSIS,SSAS) but not the complete SQL Server.
Is it possible? Please guide me how I can achieve it.
Why? You should be able to do it, BIDS is part of the SQL Server Client Tools so you should just be able to get the SS2008 Client Tools and only install BIDS. But again - Why?
It is kinda backwards compatible, but you can't make use of the new features so why not just use SS2005 BIDS with your SS2005 database?
