How to update jsp files once an app has been deployed

Hello,

I have experience with Tomcat and New Atlanta Servlet Exec, but I am a beginner with WebSphere.

I have deployed a web application and it has been created as appname.ear. I would like to update the jsp files within the war file within the ear file without having to redeploy the application.

The permissions within the war files are preventing me from editing the files.

Is this where I am supposed to edit the files in the first place?
