How to update data on a form after using ActiveX control

I am not sure how to word this, but I have an drop down menu that is actual an ActiveX Control calendar. I can't figure out how to requery a sub form after the user selects the date from the calendar. Basically I want the user to be able to see data this has the same date that is selected from the ActiveX Control Calendar. However, I tried to use the event on update and inserted a VBA code to requery my sub form. But that doesn't work.
