Hello,

I have a Windows 2003 server as a domain controller, dns server and I have one windows 2000 server in the same domain.

Is there a way to backup AD, DNS to windows 2000 server ?

Please advise.

Thank you.

No. If you want the 2000 box to operative in a 2003 domain with all of the 2003 functionality you are out of luck.

Hi,

Thank you.

With regards,

you can set up the dns server in 2000 as a secondry dns foreach of the zones stored on your ad dns server. if both servers are domain controllers already you should just be able to install DNS on the 2000 server and it will pick up the dns domains as long as they are AD integrated
