I have an Access 2003 database application that when accessed, automatically creates another copy. I tried disabling the archive option; but to no avail. Is there somwway to stop this craziness?

Is it an MDB? Can you get in while holding down a <SHIFT> key?

Yes. I found archive was turned on. When I turned it off, the duplicity went away. This was the only thing I found. Is there anything else I should check?

So, contrary to your first post, turning off that option solved your issue? If so then you need look no further.
