How to troubleshoot JVM crash with 'parallel gc failed allocation'

I've seen a number of threads discussing a JVM that is crashing and leaving behind a hs_err_pid*.log file with the text 'parallel gc failed allocation'. Is anyone aware of a means to troubleshoot this issue effectively? Here is my log file.
