Hello to all,

I have searched the threads and have come up short. What I am trying to do is: I have 146 sites that want to be able to press 1 for English and press 2 for Spanish. In doing this they want AA1 to play the English version of there greeting and then route to one of the three maiboxes playing English. AA2 they want to be able to press 2 hear the Spanish version and route the calls to the same three mailboxes hearing Spanish. Any ideas would be great.

Thanks in advance.

fondog2,
You will have to point option 2 to a sub menu and record the sub menu in spanish. This way you will have the same options with out having to worry about a second AA.

Thanks jdslay, I think I have it figured out. All the systems are in bilingual mode 1043. I think the easiest way to set this up is to record both day and night greetings in Eng and Span, and the mailboxes to. But at the beginning of every greeting tell them to press *1 for Span.

Thanks for the help.

Just as an FYI, to transfer from one AA to another, go to Extensions, make a guest mailbox that has the AA assigned to it, and transfer callers to that extension.

TouchToneTommy,

Thank you for answering the primary question. I took a look at the option that you have given. So to make that work I would move my selector codes to a higher number say 3,4,5 and make my guest mailbox 1 which would be assigned to AA #1 and then I would assign guest mailbox 2 to AA #2. Is that the option you are implying? If so then I can give the customer two options. Let me know. And thanks again.

Yes, in Partner Messaging, when you go to option 2, Extensions, you input a mailbox number, then 3 to assign it to an auto attendant, then 1-4 for which AA it will be. You can set the phone status as either with or without a phone.

I typically set Mailbox 51 as AA1, 52 as AA2, etc. Then assign Auto VMS Cover (#310-51-1, etc.) and set their VMS Cover rings to 1 (#321-51-1, etc.)

Then when I want to test or demo an AA, I just dial the extendion number.

If you want to send a caller from one AA to another, either instruct them to dial the two digit extension number, or easier, set a selector code to transfer to the appropiate extension.

TouchToneTommy,

Got it. Thanks again for your help and to the others that answered as well.
