How to Track Invalid Logon Attempts

I'm trying to find a way to log invalid login attempts in Microsoft Access 97 when using the built-in user-defined security model and login form. Is there a way to track invalid login attempts when using this model? If there was a way to create a custom login form instead of the default login dialog, I could probably figure this out. Does anyone have any ideas?
