We have a Meridian Option 61C, release 25 system. I am needing to find out how to generate and access call records (times/duration of calls, what number is calling in and what extension is calling out to what number). This is for security purposes. Are there products will allow this call recordkeeping? Thanks

hi,

Search for CDR on google

If Bill Gates had a nickel for every time Windows crashed... Oh wait, he does...

you need to have a tty built with cty as the user, and answer cdr yes in the route, the set must have incoming as well as outgoing cdr on in class, after you answer yes to cdr it will ask for the tty number. that gives you text file to a serial port on disconect. their are dozens of programs that will do a sort on those records, if anyone in your it does excel macros, it's an easy build. nortel pushes the otm software for that but it's way to fat to be any good. you can also turn on msgi x with x=dch for a pri route in 96, but on heavy traffic you'll get flooded with traffic, a single page for each setup and tear down. so be careful with that one. with procomm plus, you can capture the raw data to a txt file and handle it that way. you can if need be put a call trace button on any phone, that sends the tn and trunk data to the term on activation, that is useless unless the term is in site, i use a trace button for programing reasons. a person calls me with a change request, i press my trace and copy and paste the tn back to a prt tnb, most simple changes are made when the user gets cutoff to end the call.
