i've inherited a compaq proliant 3000 with a SMART 3200 Array Controller...there are 3 36.4 GB Ultra 2 SCSI Pluggable drives in the array making up one logical 77.7 GB volume...
the server is running NW 5.1...how can i tell what level of RAID is being run? or can i guess given the volume size versus the physical disk sizes?

thanks

Sounds like a RAID5-volume. 36.4x(3-1)=73.2GB. A bit less than the 77.7 GB you're seeing though.

Go to NW console and type LOAD CPQONLIN it's start array managment console where you can see what raid level.
