Possibly going with a new telco provider and they are asking if we are receiving 4, 7 or 10 digits from the CLEC. Is there a way to verify this in the avaya software?

on a definity 2.2.2.

we uses 4 digit extensions if that matters

TY

Test by making entries in the Incoming Call Handling Treatment for the trunk group in question. If you suspect they are sending you 4 digits, then make an entry to send the 4 digits to an extension other than the one that has the last d digtis match up with the phone number.

mgravel has the right idea.

I would strip 4 and add xxxx.

If that doesnt work strip 7 and add xxxxxxx.

If that doesnt work then do 10 digits.

Each time your rerouting the call to extension xxxx, xxxxxxx, or xxxxxxxxxx that you built.

Do this one step at a time and make a test call. If the call hits your extension you know how many digits they are sending.

How about tracing the trunk group... list trace tac xxx xxx being the TAC of the trunk group. You will see on the dial entry how many digits they are passing.

Thanks,
