I would like to be able to tag or idenfify a group of records (preferably within a worksheet) so that I may view them together in a report. A find does not accomplish this task because there may or may not be like information from the group of items which I am trying to view together in the report.

To be specific, I have a database of "drawings" for a given project, each drawing record containing information specific to a particular drawing. I would like to be able to select a group of drawings (maybe in a worksheet view) so that I could then display their information together in a repeating panel report for the purpose of generating a transmittal (a document which accompanies a "transmission" of a group of drawings by e-mail, mail, courier, etc.).

Is there any way in Lotus Approach Rel. 9.5 to temporarily tag or identify a record or group of records short of creating a separate field and entering qualifying information from which to make a find?

No, there isn't any way except add a field and enter a character in it to tag the records.

The only way to filter records is via a find or a join and either of these methods implies there is a field value or combination of field values that's common to a subset of records.
