Hello there
I have a report using two diferente tables 'finance' and the other is 'Contact history'. I manage to draw a list of 'income' and next to it a description of the 'contact history'(Ex. Direct Mailing) Unfortunatelly at every new transaction all the list of contact histories is displayed again and again -duplicated- I have tried suppressing the fields, hide if duplicate but it does not work? any help? below an example:
Ref Org Amount Contact type Date Units
1234 XYZ £30.00 Direct Mail 01/01/2008 12
Email 02/02/2009 1
Direct Mail 01/02/2011 3
£20.00 Direct Mail 01/01/2008 12
Email 02/02/2009 1
Direct Mail 01/02/2011 3
The info in the first three colums come from table 'finance' and the other three from the 'contact history' table.
Thanks!!

Assuming there is no link specific to a transaction, then the simplest solution might be to add the contact history table in a subreport (remove if from the main report). First group on Ref or Org (not sure), and then add the subreport to the group header and link it to the main report on the group field.

Group by transaction. Have the contact information in the group header or footer. Suppress the details.

Or if you need to show information for each contact type, group by contact type within transaction, show headers and suppress details.

Also if you do a running total, you could show just the first instance and suppress the rest.
