how to suppress subreport

with making a subreport on an existing one is a problem that the subreport shows repeatedly for the next record. How to solve? there is a button in edit subreport suppress if duplicated, but this does not work with my report.
e.g.:

which distinct key field does it matter? with this case you can pick date as link but this also shows twice records of subreport. So I shouold choose another field that is on the table and not in the report? may be unique_id?

Crystal has its own fixed pattern of doing things. When it comes to suppressing a section, it is no good checking the output from a subreport within the section, because the subreport is processed after the suppress logic.

The standard work-round is to have an invisible duplicate of the subreport, to get the value and decide whether to suppress. See thread782-477236 for details. This is a solution for blank reports, but the same method should work for duplicates.

I haven't got it done yet, i add another same subreport and suppress it one or the other, but still the result is the same: for my next record of the same date of the main report i get the same subreport showing as the previous one. Can I make this subreport showing just one time by coding with a formula?
