Hi,
on Windows XP sp3 I constant popping-up of balloon dialog pointing to status bar of "Unrecognized device". I clicked on "x" and few seconds (sometimes minutes) and this pop-up is on again. I can't turn it off, to stop bugging me.

I have had this windows installed for several years but few days back this problem appeared out of nothing.

I tried to uninstall driver that is recognized as "unrecognized" and also tried to disable it, but still popping-up. It just makes me crazy.

Print-screen of popping-up window after clicking on non-stop balloon nagging.

Is there a way to stop this madness and nagging? Is there a way that I can say I don't need this yours nagging unrecognized device and please stop nagging me?
Thanks

If you were to approach this properly, you would give us the brand and model number and we would point you to the proper drive and you would install it thus removing the nagging. Trying to stop the nagging by ignoring an uninstalled device is both improper troubleshooting and not a great way to approach problems.

With that said, did you try right clicking the device in DevMgr and choosing DISABLE?

The Touchtip fingertip Coprocessor seems to belong to Lenovo. I'm guessing the bio-access reader.

Have you tried unstalling the drivers, and reinstalling them?

Possibly one of these may work for you.

Yes, this was a device that nearly killed me to find the driver for when I reloaded a Lenovo laptop. It was actually "Atmel TPM (Trusted Platform Module) device driver for Windows". Not sure if it's the same item here, but a model number will help us confirm.
