how to stop printer misuse

dear all,

we have nt4 domain with winxp pro client, what do u think is the best way to stop misue of network printers especially the color ones, we need to track the printing for all users so that we can pinpoint that who are printing excessively and also can we restrict certain users to color printing only while the rest are forced to print in black & white?

At an NT4 level you can only secure a shared printer in terms of who can use it. You will need third party printer accounting software in order to monitor printer usage (we used to use something called Equitrac -- works but verrrry buggy).
