I do not have to backup navison server anymore because the company move to new db system recently. However I need to have some empty space on available tapes. I would like to check my proposed procedure to stop navison server from taking any space more from my available tapes.

1. I have to go to “Networker Administration – administrator” then Configuration and press properties of “navgroup” then change austostart to disable. I presume that I do not have to change anything with “Schedules Option”.
2. On “Device” option I could not delete servnav, but I could (and have to?) to put Propeties – Status – Enabled to No. Same for Libraries?
3. Media Pools - “navpool” – Properties – Configuration-“Enabled” unticked

Networker 7.4

Is that all and right procedure?

remove your navision server from any group without deleting it !
Then it will not backup up automatically anymore but you are able to revover if needed.

Simply remove the client from the group and delete it.
I would not change anything at the devices/pools if they are not used exclusively by this client. This is usually not the case.

Well, I have done it. I do not need that server and associated database. Can I recycle or delete it on Media- Volumes - right mouse click for that particular server?

If there is nothing else stored on the media, simply relabel it.

I have two volumes which are full. The first one consist of data I am not interested in any more. Thus I can relabel it, and that is fine. The second one, which is full, consist of data I need and data of client I have deleted. What I have to do to allocate more resources?

With nsrstage, you can move those backups to another media and relabel the old one later.
