Hi all

Please let me know how to stop and start Tomcat in Solaris 8?

Thanks

Rob

It depends on how you originally installed it. I seem to remember it being bundled with my install of apache and was started/stopped in the same init script.

Check out /etc/init.d/apache or /etc/init.d/httpd.

I have know idea about Solaris, but under AIX the necessary scripts are located under e.g.

../jakarta-tomcat-5.0.28/bin/

they are called

startup.sh
startup.bat
shutdown.sh
shutdown.bat

etc.

Regards
Thomas

On our Solaris servers we use the startup and shutdown scripts , that TSch describes
