How to stop a xp pro from becoming a bowser master 1

New to windows servers.
just got win 2000 server. There is a xp-pro mechine in network that keep on trying to be come a master bowser. How do i stop it.

What you mean master browser? is internet connection sharing configured on the XP machine?

Fire up regedit,
go to:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\Browser\Parameters

Set IsDomainMaster to FALSE
