Hello,

My problem is the following: I have a unicenter NSM 3.0 server that monitors remote servers on which i have installed NSM agents. I have made a configuration file to configure the log agent on the remote machine but, before i do
ldconfig -h remotehost fic.conf, i must stop the log agent that is running on remotehost. I was told that it is possible to use the servicectrl command but i haven't found in the "online books" the syntax to use it on a remote machine.
Any help is welcome.
Thanks in advance.

agentctrl [-h hostname|ipAddr] mibName:agentName ctrlMessage

EG:
agentctrl -h W2kServer caiW2kOs CONTROL:AgentRestart

It doesn't always work though.
full help is in the CA Reference Guide

I'll usually do this:

servicectrl stop --remote=hostname --name=agentname
ldconfig -h hostname configset.file
servicectrl start --remote=hostname --name=agentname

Hi,
If you have installed Event Agent on those remote servers, you could do a oprcmd -n REMOTENODE caiLogA2 stop
