I just installed Red Hat Linux 7.1 couple of days ago. I want to add a user. I tried to lunch linuxconf when I am logon as root by typing linuxconf at the shell prompt and even tried to run it from the run command, but I get an error message saying "linuxconf" not found. can someone please provide me a suggestion....

read some book bout linux.
;-)
insert your cd into cdrom(linux cd), start gnorpm (in X - if U use it) and install linuxconf package
if U dont use X , go to cdrom, where it is mounted (/mnt/cdrom), enter redHat/RPMS, and rpm -ivh linuxconf..whatever..rpm.

maybe U have already installed that package; - check it from shell -
rpm -q linuxconf
bubak

btw. U can adduser via shell - command adduser
man adduser - use this

Also, dont forget to install gnome-linuxconf if you want the nice GUI to it :)

Redhat's release notes mention that LinuxConf may be removed eventually.... bleh...
