HOW TO START & STOP tomcat on LINUX machine from Windows Environment

Hi,

It would be a great help , if someone can tell me that how can I start & stop tomcat (server) on a remote machine running on AIX/LINUX by executing ANT script from a windows machine.

Also if there is any thing like the conditional statement which can tell me if tomcat is already running on a remote machine or not.

Would appreciate your response.
