ON AIX how do I start a daemon automatically
on system boot.

It depends on which daemon you are talking about.

There are some configuration files in /etc You can specify a daemon be started from. some conf files start several daemons. And sometimes you can start a daemon directly from /etc/inittab.

Are you talking run levels or are you talking at boot? telinit is used for runlevels

But it depends where the daemon is controlled src...or a new demon? which daemon. If the standard ones...it is in the inittab file.

What are you trying to do? Which Daemon etc.
