Does anyone know how to speed up the association process when a wireless client (roams) de-associates from one AP over to another. It appears to take from 60 to 80 seconds to establish the connection and I was wondering if there is something I can do to make this seamless or a bit faster. The clients are on the same subnet, so acquiring a new IP isn't an issue.

Thanks

Not sure what hardware you have, but on our hhp dolphins it's in the advanced setup - you change the density to 'high' - this means it will switch to a stronger signal far earlier than usual. When on the default settings our handhelds would hang on to a 10% signal, even though there was a 70% signal far closer - now they will switch properly.

Thanks Mike... We have Dell Latitudes D600 models... I'll take a look at that and see what I find. Thanks for the help and I'll get back to you on the outcome. I appreciate the response!
