We had a user working remotely that for a bit that just got her Avaya phone working. Under voicemail she gets that she has 200 new voicemails even though she had already accessed these. She just wants to start fresh and have all 200 deleted without having to do it manually. Is there a way to do this at the system level?

delete the user folder in voice mail and restart the services would be the quickest and easiest

im guessing you have VMpro??

You can go into vmpro client and clear the box too, it will wipe her name and greeting too I believe.

Thanks for the replies, guys. However, with voicemail pro doesn't it keep voicemail messages in a certain area with the user's name on it? I can't seem to find that.

c:\program files\avaya\ip office\voicemail pro\vm\accounts\username

Those that can't do, usually call me.

open the client - go to Users - right click the users mailbox and clear the darn thing.
Then go to the support website of Avaya and get the manual for voicemail installation R7 and check page 330 and following.
