I recently upgraded to Windows 7. When it boots up, I would like to find a way for it to skip the stage where Windows Boot Manager makes you manually select that it open in 7 or Vista. I'd like it to just automatically open in 7. I suppose I would like to be able to open in Vista in case a need arose later (although I can think of why that would be.)

So, you now have a dual boot configuration, instead of an upgrade? There is a lot of info showing how to use bcedit to edit the bootloader like this You might want to just reduce the timeout value so that both entries are still there. There are also several third party applications that will use a nice gui interface to do the editing that bcedit does.
