After using Livelink for 7+ years I stumbled upon the project "outline" view a couple years ago and now use it almost exclusively, however I am confused regarding one point.

My company has been relatively successful in training users to create Livelink shortcuts to documents when they need to be referenced or accessed from multiple places (instead of storing two copies of the document). However the project outline view displays everything (Task List, Discussion, Channel, Document, URL, Compound Document, Folder) except Livelink shortcuts!

Is there any way to include Livelink shortcuts in the project outline view display? Or is there some explanation why it is not possible to display Livelink shortcuts in project outline view?

Using Livelink version 9.7.1.986 if that makes any difference.

Thanks for any information, JTL

in old livelink documentation I remember doing it like this.It is probably in the online documentation

[Project]
ProjectOutlineSubtypes={204,215,207,144,140,136,1}

the things in the curly brackets are the object subtypes that show there.If that section does not exist livelink builds that with the default items.1 is the subtype number for a shortcut.This way other object subtypes can also be exposed.However dues diligence should be taken as OT will not guarantee that every object subtype will behave well there

Well, if I called the wrong number, why did you answer the phone?
