How to show only Header in Outlook?

How can I get Outlook to download and display only the 'From' and the 'Size' of incoming emails? I have already set an option 'Don't download files over nnnK' and set this to 1 meg, but I still get the 'Retrieveing...' dialog for all emails--with no info on what it's retrieving or from whom, even with huge attachments.<br>
