How to show date range of selected data?

is there a way to do this?

Say my selection formula includes data for the last full week. I'd like to print in the header or footer of the report a field that shows the range of the selected data.

ie: "Text field:" some range "to" end of some range
"Date selected:"12/12/04 to 12/18/04
