In my circumsance, i often am required to develop a schedule for a given project that is based on a presumed start date. Often the project will begin at a later date than the presumed one and i then am in need of shifting a complex schedule down the calender by days or weeks. How can i just shift an entire schedule "to the right"?
Thanks in advance for your help!

If you make sure your Project is driven by links and not "constraints" - this should not be a problem.
If the first task starts on the project start date and all the other tasks are linked, then all you have to do is change the project start date and the whole project will shift accordingly.
We move projects all the time and the need to remain flexable is paramount!
"Must start on" constraints are a real problem so we avoid them where possable.
Hope this Helps

P2003 (I don't have access to earlier/later versions):

Display the Analysis toolbar;
click on "Adjust Dates" button;
enter the new start date for the project.

The function will maintain existing Constraints and adjust them appropriatel and it will obey any special workdays/nonworkdays that you have put into your project calendar.

PERFECT!!!
Thanks a million, have been trying to figure this out for a while, even went through "Project 2003 Bible" and couldn't igure it out.

In MS Project 2007, where does one find the check mark for "making sure your Project is driven by links and not "constraints" ?
