My company Appplication program need to be shared
to do so i need to share some Dll file that reside in system32 folder.
But winxp does sharing option is disabled in XP .
How can i enable sharing windows.system 32 folder
thanks
Begin by copying the necessary DLL files from c:\windows\system32 to the folder that holds the application program. It is likely this is sufficient for them to be found.
If not, you likely will have to create a share to the entire drive at its root, which is not desirable, but may be necessary.
Are you certain you cannot install the application on each workstation, and point the application for its data files to a common shared folder?
Hi Castner
Thanks you for reply.
Its NTFS partition
i tried sharing entire drive
but still can't access the sytem32 folder I get access denied contact sys.admin
Open Windows Explorer, and right click the drive label.
Properties, Security, and highlight the Group 'Everyone'
Give that Group through the checkboxes full permissions to read, write, etc.. the drive. Click the Advanced button. Highlight the 'Everyone' Group. Click the box at the bottom to have all folders inherit as children the permissions.
Apply.
Test again.
