We are using ACT 7. We have three different databases that we currently use. One is our normal database with existing clients, vendors, etc (about 500 contacts). The second is a database of clients that we have met at different shows, or people who have expressed an interest in us (about 800 contacts). The third is a list of potential clients that we have attained elsewhere from outside sources such as purchased mailing lists (about 2500 contacts). We have created three databases in order to keep our daily one cleaned up. I guess the second two databases could probably be combined, but we defienatly need to have our main one separte.
I have just finished creating a new template for our databases which also includes new user defined fields, drop down menus, process lists, product lists, etc. These new items were created in the main database. I now can not figure out how to share this newly created template and fields with my other two databases.
If I would have though of it, the easiest method would have been to make all the new stuff in a fresh empty database, copy the new database twice, then import the three databases into the ones with the new templatas. Well hind sight is 20/20 and I can't afford to duplicate all of the work.
Any suggestions on how to do this. I tried just renaming the .alf and .adf files to match the other databases, but ACT then does not recognize them.
