Hello,

I would like to know, how to share same mailbox between multiple imail servers?
I found information at ipswitch kb (enclosed below), followed the same instruction but it is not working, giving invalid folder error after login. Called ipswitch but they pointed out (as mentioned in kb) it is not supported.
Please help.
Thanks inadvance.

Can multiple IMail Servers share the same mailboxes?

Answer/Solution: Yes, this can be done by making a change in IMail Administrator as well as making a change in the registry.

1. In order to share these mailboxes you will need to setup each IMail Server domain's Top Directory so that it points to the location (usually a network drive) where the shared mailboxes will be stored.

2. Run regedit. Go to HKLM\Software\Ipswitch\IMail\GobalCreate a DWORD Value named SkipMBXPIDCheck and set it to: 1

I am trying to load balance 2 imail servers and so I need to share mailboxes created in shared storage array.

Hey Mail2exp,
I'm getting the same error in Imail. The funny thing is if you look at the mailbox setting withing the Imail Administrator, it can read the network mailbox just fine. Web Messaging and POP3 don't like though.

Did you ever figure it out?

Craig
