How to share an internet connection in a dual boot win2k/ red hat8.0?

I have a machine cablemodem-hooked to the internet, running dual boot win2k/redhat. In win2k I can boot and share the connection with another win98 box cross-over ethernet client. How do I configure redhat 8.0 to boot and share the internet connection the same way?

PS - When running redhat8, I can ping the machines, but the client win98 won't ping no resource outside my gateway. Wierd...
