Hi
My programmer sent me a delphi application. It seems he did not setup the program as a self-extracting file. I`ve been trying to setup winzip to have it extract and install the
application. Can`t seem to confiqure winzip to open the file. Hoping for some help.

a self extracting zip will not install your app just unzip it with out needing winzip.

if you want to create an installer for your app you need an installation creator program like, inno setup, wise installer, setup factory, install shield etc...

Hi
I didn`t explain myself clearly. I have a set of files from my programmer: Doors.mdb, doorcut.ex_,setup.exe, help files, uninstall.ex
In the past I`ve set up winzip self-extractor to unzip these files to the users hard drive. winzip opened the exe and started the install process. I can`t remember the correct syntax to config winzip to setup the process.

you create the zip, then to make it an exe you right click it in explorer and select make exe.
(from what i can remember, i use 7zip now).

P.S. this isnt a delphi question.
