I have problems setting up postfix to allow for remote users using outlook. They are able to read their email, but are not able to send emails using outlook. Unfortunally these users do not have fixed IP addresses when they connect. They are traveling all over and connect from anywhere.

Can anyone give me any suggestions on how to setup postfix without compromising security.

Thank you

Ted

Ted, if you're road angels use the same ISP to connect to the web to pickup mail use the ISP's smtp relay to send mail on their behalf. You can still leave their 'company' addresses as normal. This way, you don't need to open up your mailserver.

We do this at my company and it has never caused a problem.
