how to setup file executable but unreadable..

Hi Guys,

as title aboved I wanna set my script like that,

I have tried to setup permission 711, but the thing was
they couldn't even execute it.

Any idea other than encrypt the script ?

I remember there is shell scripts compilers. I saw a discution about that here or in the AIX room.

search in those two rooms.

You could make it -rwx------ and then only allow people to execute it via sudo.

You need to be root to do that... visudo is the command you need. man sudoers to see the syntax.

You can 'compile' the script with shc

I can encrypt it but I dont wanna do that if there's any other way of doing it.
