hello,

I have BCM-50 & it is working as internal usage only . I need to connect external line to it to allow users dial external numbers & vice versa.

any help will be appreciated

thanks

OK how ? I just need to connect external line cable to BCM-50 so users can dial landlines ,

thank your for your cooperation

You should have a krone wiring strip connecting to the BCM 50. In the UK, we would use the first 4 pairs for analogue lines 61 to 64.

BCM Element Manager is used to configure them as required.

If it's working, then leave it alone!.

How to use BCM Element Manager to configure it ?

thank you

any idea how to configure it will be appreciated

Call a vendor. I know times are tough but you are better in the long run.

I agree 100% if your asking questions this basic you are attempting to do things that you have very little knowledge about. Call a vendor and that way you'll know that it was done right rather then trying to wing it yourself.

Calling a vedor would make your life easier, save you money, and save you lots of time.

It is only a couple hundred dollars and a qualified technician can make sure everything is set up right for you.

thank you guys , but I want to learn Nortel BCM , want to learn how to configure it , I'm sure there are materials to teach everything in Nortel BCM VOIP .

I preferred the hard way not the easiest way , I just need material or something like this.

I was guess here in this forum I'll get technical advice , not calling a vendor advice.

regards

You need a foundation to start from. A forum is typically not the place to get that foundation. People don't mind helping out other technical users but forum is not a training class. Forums are a two way thing. If you are just starting out take a class or hire a vendor and watch how it is done. Or go to work for someone who gives OJT.

By the way, BCM is at the end of its life. Probably better to spend your time learning Avaya or Cisco if you are just starting.
