when i installed redhat 7.3 on my machine, i did not check the FTP server option. how do install one? what are the "must do" after installing?

thanks,

Check the redhat website. They have some good helpful hints.

Hi,

Try this;

vi /etc/xinetd.d/wu-ftpd

Change disable=yes to disable=no and save.

Then type service xinetd restart.

This should enable wu-ftp (distributed with RH7.3) from xinetd.

Try ftp localhost on the linux system to test!

Chris.
