Hello all. This is my 1st post on this forum.

I have a Nortel BCM 450. Version 61.0.1.

I am trying to setup 2 phones to ring at the same time.
I had it setup using the Answer DNs feature. It seems to only work when calling internally. People calling from an outside line aren't able to reach both extensions.

I am somewhat familiar with the system but do not work on it often. I inherited this setup which was done long ago by techs that no longeur work at my office.

Any assitance would be appreciated.

Method 1:

Use a Hunt group( assign an HG extn number to it)
Assign the 2 internal extns to it.
Set it to broadcast mode to ring all phones in the group

Then assign the line to the huntgroup..

This way the external call will ring the huntgroup number thus ringing the 2 extns at the same time

Method 2:

Assign the extneral number target line to both extns.

Then the external call will ring both extns at the same time.

I've definitly been able to set method 1 the way you described it. The outside call does not work. It only rings to one of the numbers. Both exts ring internally but not from outside.

I think I got the method 2 setup as required and still I wasn't to get the wanted results. I'm starting to think it's a setting that isn't right somewhere that is throwing me off.
