How to set up SUS 2

I'd like to implement the SUS on my brothers network of 2 domain controllers running windows 2k server with sp4 and 35 workstations.
Anyway, I have been reading the sus(software update service) but really dont know how to set it up
1.Do I need to get a separate server for this or any of the domain controllers can be used for that
2.I need a step by step approach of how to set it up running
