Hello All:

I have a question around how one could set up SIP Trunking between Cisco Call Manager 9.1 and Biscom HA (Active/Active) FoIP Server. In this scenario we are planning a High Availability Biscom Platform (Active/Active). I wondered about the incoming call scenario and if it is possible to create a SIP Trunk that would round robin distribute the calls between the two Biscom servers, and if so how? What would the impact be if one of the Biscom servers were down? FYI: Calls come in and go out via regular T1/PSTN to/from the carrier (Bell Canada).

I have of course contacted the vendor and they did provide me general Cisco CUCM information re: integration but it doesn't touch on this type of configuration.

Any and all help greatly appreciated.

Are you using an SBC (cisco CUBE) between the cucm and the fax solution?
If not you will need to create two SIP trunks in cucm, one for each fax server and put them in the same route group in circular mode.
That will take care of inbound calls to the fax server. Outbound will need to be done in the fax software.
That's assuming the fax software supports dual trunk configuration. Unfortunately I don't know anything about the Biscom product.

Thanks whykap for your answer
I don't currently have Cisco Cube (SBC) in the environment - is that recommended or does that provide some benefit over the solution without it?

You don't need a cube. i was just asking. Just follow the manufacturers integration guide and you should be good.
