How to set up report not to ask for SQL password

Anytime I distribute a report to another computer, it asks for a password to the SQL server. If you run the report then want to run it again without getting out of the distributed report, it asks again for the password. How can I tell it to just connect to the SQL data base without asking for the password? I am using Version 7 Crystal Reports.

Distribute means the Crystal runtime EXE creator, or an application?

I thought that if you hit the lightning bolt refresh while the report was open it would not prompt, but the nature of a distributed report is to always enforce security, so passwords will not be embedded within.

One alternative might be to write an application which uses pass through authentication.

Sorry, I need to more clear. And thank you for your imput.

Distributed means I used the Distribution expert to get a distributed report rather than use the Compile to get an EXE report. The Compile never has worked here.

I thought that once the distributed report was open it would not ask every time you wanted to refresh the report. This has just started to happen within the last month.

What application(s) are you talking about to do a pass through authentication?

I meant writing code, such as VB or whatever.

If this just started occurring, it sounds strange to me, unless there's a new timeout on connections.

Once the report is distributed, I believe that it should still ask for database access information each time it's run, oterhwise it isn't very secure. You didn't mention if you're using the lightning bolt refresh, or running the report a second time, if the former, it should not prompt.
