I have a dos based program running on XP PRO, I have users that seem to get two or more instances of the program open which causes problems such as lock ups etc, is there any way to limit this to only be opened once?
Thanks

This might not be the best way , but the first thing that comes to my mind is a batch file / Script which would just check to see

if a process called yourprogram.exe is running , prompt the user to and say "a copy of the program is already running"
Else run yourprogram.exe

How about that ?? one was to solve problem.
