I'm trying to configure my Microsoft Wireless G Router (MN-700), which is currently at my home, to allow me to Remote Desktop in to my computer at home. I have a feeling the steps required to do this are similar across all routers but for the life of me I can't find the correct set up. Has anyone had luck with this? Or had luck configuring any home router to forward port requests to allow remote desktop'ing?

Have a look at the MN-700 Base Station Configuration Guide ( starting on page 21, Port Forwarding section.

You'll need to forward port 3389 to the IP of the machine you want to remote desktop into. Then, connect to the WAN IP of the router with the Remote Desktop client when connecting.
